EcoFlow RAPID Pro X

The EcoFlow RAPID Pro X – as we can discover in its Manual – is not designed merely to recharge a smartphone. It is built to power an entire mobile workstation. Before leaving for an assignment, charge it fully and pack it with your laptop, phone, recorder, wireless microphones, mobile hotspot and video accessories.

Its capacity is 27,650 mAh, equal to 99.54 Wh. This is a key figure: it provides a substantial energy reserve while staying just below the 100 Wh threshold. The main unit weighs about 700 grams, so it is not a pocket-sized charger, but a professional work tool for people who spend long hours away from a wall socket.

Power output is its strongest feature. EcoFlow lists 300 W total output, with one 140 W USB-C port and two 65 W USB-C ports. In practice, you can connect your laptop to the most powerful port and use the others for your phone, hotspot, recorder, earbuds or smaller accessories.

For a journalist, this means working without depending on the press room, the train, the café or the nearest power outlet. You can write a story, edit audio, cut video, send large files, update a liveblog or keep your phone alive during a live report, even when an assignment lasts longer than expected.

The 140 W port is suitable for demanding laptops such as a MacBook Pro, powerful Windows ultrabooks or machines used for light video editing and multimedia production. The two 65 W ports are useful for keeping the rest of your kit running: smartphone, microphones, 5G router, headphones, tablet or secondary batteries.

The smart LCD display lets you check battery status and charging activity at a glance. This is not a cosmetic detail: during a press conference, a protest or a long day in court, knowing how much power remains helps you decide which device to prioritize. EcoFlow also offers app control, including power monitoring, firmware updates, device management, themes and charging strategy settings.

Fast recharging is another practical advantage. With the EcoFlow RAPID Pro 320 W Charging Station, the power bank can go from 0 to 80% in about 20 minutes. That turns a short break — in the newsroom, at a station or in a café — into a real energy recovery window.

Can it travel by air? Yes. According to EcoFlow, it can be carried on board, because its capacity is 99.54 Wh, below the 100 Wh limit commonly applied by many airlines. The prudent rule is to carry it in hand luggage, not checked baggage. Power banks and spare lithium batteries should normally stay in the cabin, protected from short circuits and accessible during the flight. Always check the airline’s specific rules before departure.

The price listed is €209.99 (april 2026), down from a previous price of €239.99, with a stated discount of €30. Taxes are included.

In short, the EcoFlow RAPID Pro X is well suited to journalists, video reporters, podcasters, photographers and livebloggers who often work away from the newsroom. It does not replace a full power station, but it is far more capable than an ordinary power bank. Its real value is not simply “charging”: it is operational continuity when the story moves faster than the nearest power socket.
