VPN. Many of the largest artificial intelligence firms are based in the United States. They often launch new products with features available only to American users at first. For those living elsewhere, this can be a barrier. One way around it is a virtual private network, or VPN. By connecting through a server in the US, a VPN allows users abroad to bypass those restrictions. At present, this practice is not the subject of legal challenge.
