HoverAir X1 Pro

THE DRONE AS A CAMERAMAN
HOVERAir X1 PRO and HOVERAir X1 PROMAX are high-tech flying cameras designed for ease of use and extreme portability. Both models are exceptionally lightweight, weighing approximately 192 grams (191.5 grams for the PRO and 192.5 grams for the PROMAX). This low weight means they are lighter than most iPhones and classify as C0-class in the EU, requiring no license.

MAXIMUM FLIGHT TIME
They are built for true portability, folding like a book to slip right into a pocket or small bag. Both drones utilize an advanced Snapdragon processor, one of the most powerful ever used in a drone, enabling unmatched AI flight performance. They feature a patented aerodynamic mesh frame and fully enclosed design, enhancing safety, ensuring they are obstacle-proof, and making flights smoother, quieter, and safer. Both models offer a maximum flight time of about 16 minutes from their 1920 mAh Smart Battery. Both also include SmoothCapture 2.0 video stabilization, combining a two-axis gimbal and EIS. They can achieve a maximum auto-follow speed of 42 km/h (26 mph), with an instantaneous tracking speed of 60 km/h (37 mph), and can withstand Level 5 wind resistance (10.7 m/s, 24 mph).

4K VIDEO RESOLUTION
The X1 PRO is positioned for beginners and casual users, offering 4K video resolution at up to 60fps and 1080p slow-motion at 120/100fps. The X1 PROMAX is the high-end option, capable of capturing 8K video resolution at 30/25/24fps and 4K slow motion at 120/100fps. The PROMAX also features True 8K resolution powered by pro-grade optics and a 1/1.3″ sensor, with a higher maximum video bitrate of 160Mbps (at 8K/30fps) compared to the PRO’s 100Mbps. Furthermore, the PROMAX supports HDR (10-bit HLG) for 4K video, offers 48MP photo resolution (compared to the PRO’s 12MP), and features enhanced awareness with vision-based sensors for rear active collision detection. The PROMAX comes with 64 GB of internal storage, double the PRO’s 32 GB.

UTILITY FOR JOURNALISTIC WORK
These drones are marketed as a solution for those “tired of bulky camera gear”, making them ideal for journalists who need lightweight, reliable tools for rapid deployment in the field. The primary benefit for journalists is the capability to act as a new cameraman. The devices are self-flying cameras that operate on Autopilot, meaning they fly themselves, frame themselves, and think for themselves with AI-powered precision. This allows the journalist to film themselves effortlessly and truly hands-free, eliminating the need for a separate camera operator. Users can launch the drone from the palm of their hand in just 3 seconds—with no pairing, no controller, and no learning curve necessary. They feature dozens of built-in flight modes for specialized shots, including ShadowTrack for pro-level visual tracking, even in challenging environments like low light, tight turns, or fast descents.

COMPLEX ENVIRONMENTS
The OmniTerrain feature ensures flawless tracking across complex environments such as snow, grass, cliffs, or water. For professional-grade content, the PROMAX offers true 8K resolution and Pro-grade color recording in H-Log and 10-bit HLG, making it a “pocket cinematographer” for storytelling. One professional user noted that the drone became their favorite tool for recording walk-throughs for social media due to its efficiency and ease of use. Even when autopilot isn’t sufficient, the CoPilot control allows for manual adjustments of direction or angle via the Beacon, Joystick, or App while the camera remains locked onto the subject, requiring no advanced flying skills
