This Reuters Institute study examines public attitudes towards generative AI in journalism across Argentina, Denmark, France, Japan, the UK and the US. It finds that audiences expect AI to have a major impact on news, but remain sceptical about whether news organisations will use it responsibly. People are generally more comfortable with journalism produced by humans and fear that AI could make news less trustworthy and less transparent.
